Patel Says FBI’s Comey ‘Concealed’ Probe Into Hillary Clinton
FBI Director Kash Patel recently stated that the bureau concealed investigations related to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential campaign, calling for more transparency to restore public trust. Speaking with Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Fox News, Patel criticized former FBI Director James Comey for acting independently and deciding not to pursue charges against Clinton without DOJ oversight.
Patel highlighted the Clinton email scandal, accusing her of creating the Trump-Russia collusion narrative to distract from her own controversy. He claimed Comey deliberately misrepresented facts and excluded key details during his tenure.
Comey publicly declined to recommend charges in 2016, despite evidence suggesting wrongdoing, and briefly reopened the case days before the election—a move Clinton later blamed for her loss.
Patel and Bongino also discussed newly uncovered materials from Comey’s time, allegedly found hidden and not processed through standard FBI procedures. Bongino said efforts are underway to declassify the documents, though some belong to other intelligence agencies.
Bongino added that much of what was discovered had been concealed, and once released, the public would be “astonished.” He also addressed a cryptic Instagram post by Comey, suggesting it may have been aimed at Trump, with the numbers “8647” interpreted by some as referencing his removal (86) and Trump (47th president).
